Al Wasiyyah
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
السلام عليكم ورحمت الله و بركاته

Scholars of Islam have mentioned that there were Wasiyyat-ul-Allah سبحانه و تعالى, Wasiyyat-ur-Rasul صلى الله عليه وسلم, Wasiyyatu Abu Bakr as-Siddiq and Wasiyyatu ‘Umar ibn al Khattab رضي الله تعالى عنهما Wasiyyah means the will of someone or the last thing that someone has said.
Wasiyyat-ul-Allah سبحانه و تعالى:
And be afraid of the Day when you shall be brought back to Allah. Then every person shall be paid what he earned, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. {Surah al Baqarah, ayah# 281}
This is known by the scholars as the Wasiyyat-ul-Allah since it was the last ayah revealed by Allah سبحانه و تعالى to Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم It was the last revelation ever to be sent down on this earth thus it being called Wasiyyat-ul-Allah.
Wasiyyat-ur-Rasul صلى الله عليه وسلم:
The scholars said, the last thing Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said was, “The Prayer, the Prayer and what your right hand posses” Meaning that the Muslims should take care of their Salah by performing it on time and properly with khushoo’. As for “what your right hand posses,” it means that to fulfil the rights of their slaves which people had.
Wasiyyatu Abu Bakr as-Siddiq رضي الله تعالى عنه :
He رضي الله تعالى عنه said to ‘Umar رضي الله تعالى عنه, “O’ son al Khattab, have fear of Allah and beware of the day you are going to lie down like I am going to lie down here.” Abu Bakr رضي الله تعالى عنه admonished ‘Umar رضي الله تعالى عنه to have fear of Allah سبحانه و تعالى and the day when he is going to die
Wasiyyatu ‘Umar ibn al Khattab رضي الله تعالى عنه :
After ‘Umar رضي الله تعالى عنه was stabbed, he was taken to a place where he was made to lie down. A young man entered the place where he was lying and said, “O’ Commander of the Believers, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم passed away and was pleased with you. O’ Commander of the Believers, you believed in Allah and the Messenger of Allah and you strived for the sake of Allah.” And he started mentioning other things which ‘Umar رضي الله تعالى عنه had done and then left. ‘Umar رضي الله تعالى عنه said, “Bring him back!” When he came back, ‘Umar رضي الله تعالى عنه said, “O’ son of my brother, pick up your thawb (garment) up for it is cleanliness for your thawb and will be closest to Allah.” Here we can see the importance of having our clothes above our ankles (for men). Even at the time when ‘Umar رضي الله تعالى عنه was brutally stabbed, he did not forget to command the good and forbid the evil.
